Local Lawmakers All Wet for Charity

State Sen. Joseph Addabbo took the ice bucket challenge over the Labor Day weekend to raise awareness of ALS, a deadly affliction known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. “I took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge with my friend and colleague in government, Councilmember Eric Ulrich, at this year’s Hamilton Beach Baby Parade,” he said. “It is important to remember that while the challenge is done in good fun, it is also done to fight against a crippling disease, ALS. Addabbo is pictured with Ulrich after completing the Ice Bucket Challenge with Assemblyman Phil Goldfeder.
