Stickup at Rego Park Laundromat

Armed Crooks Clean Up In Early Morning Heist

Three suspects remain on the lam after holding up workers at gunpoint inside a Rego Park laundromat last month, according to police.

Security camera images of the three suspects wanted for the recent robbery of a laundromat on Woodhaven Boulevard in Rego Park.

Reportedly, the stickup occurred at 4 a.m. on Aug. 8 at the Rego Park Megawash located at 62-82 Woodhaven Blvd. The crooks’ images were captured on security camera footage that the NYPD published last Thursday night, Aug. 28.

According to law enforcement sources, two of the three suspects displayed guns upon entering the laundromat and announcing the robbery. They reportedly ordered the employees, both of whom were 58-year-old men, into a bathroom.

Once the victims complied with the request, authorities noted, the bandits removed an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register. They reportedly fled from the scene in an unknown direction.

Members of the 104th Precinct responded to the incident. No injuries were reported.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the 104th Precinct Detective Squad and the Queens Robbery Squad.
