An elderly woman suffered minor injuries ater a fire broke out inside a Ridgewood apartment house on Sunday morning, Oct. 19, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the one-alarm blaze ignited at about 9:10 a.m. on the third-floor of a four-story structure on Woodbine Street near 64th Street. Responding to the scene (listed in the order of arrival) were Engine companies 291, 286, 277 and 218; Ladder companies 140, 135, 112 and 176; Squad Co. 288; Rescue 4; and Battalions 28 and 37-under the direction of Division 14-along with the 104th Precinct and EMS units. Reportedly, the woman’s injuries did not require hospitalization. Firefighters used one hose line to bring the fire under control, it was noted.
