Second brother dies in Rochdale shooting

Two brothers, one initially injured and the other shot dead, were found after police responded to a 911 call at 168-40 127th Ave. in Rochdale, within the confines of the 113th Precinct Jan. 25, police said.

When they arrived, police discovered two young men with gunshot wounds to their heads. EMS responded and pronounced one victim, a 24-year-old man, dead upon arrival, and the second victim, a 20-year-old man, was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where he was originally listed in critical condition and later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The victims were identified as Rendell Cassimy, 24, of 155th Street, who was shot dead and Sean Van Williams, 20, of 127th Street, both from the Rochdale area.

There were no arrests at this time and the investigation was ongoing, police said.
