The Manhattan-bound tube of the Queens Midtown Tunnel will be closed nightly on several weekdays, starting this coming Monday, the MTA announced.
The closures will take place from 11 p.m. until 2 a.m., Monday night through Friday morning from July 13 to 17 and from July 20 to 24.
According to the transit agency, the tube shutdown is for FDNY inspections.
One lane will remain open in each direction in the remaining tube during the closures. Drivers should allow extra time and use an alternate route if possible.
