An early morning two-alarm fire tore through a three-story home in Elmhurst and spread to a neighboring house, injuring nine, according to the FDNY.

The blaze broke out just before 4:30 a.m. at 42-67 Ketcham St. between Petit Avenue and Britton Avenue.

It was declared under control around 6:45 a.m.

Fire officials said a 30-year-old woman suffered burns to her face and abdomen and was taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center in critical condition.

Another five suffered from smoke inhalation, including a 12-year-old girl, while three firefighters suffered minor injuries, according to the FDNY. The fire engulfed all three floors of the house and the cause of the blaze was under investigation.
