Long Island City teen missing from home since Friday

Police are searching for a 14-year-old boy who disappeared from his Long Island City home Friday night.

Tahfarie Gidarisingh was last seen at his home at Vernon Boulevard and 41st Avenue on Feb. 12, which is located near Queensbridge Park. Gidarisingh went missing at about 10 p.m., according to authorities.

The teenager is described as a black male, 5 feet, 1 inches and 101 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
