LAURELTON — A 22-year-old man died Monday morning as a result of a fatal motorcycle crash, police said.
At about 10:35 a.m., police from the 106th Precinct responded to a 911 call about a motorcycle collision on the Belt Parkway near the exit onto the Cross Island Parkway, according to the NYPD.
When police arrived, they found the man unconscious with trauma to his head. He was transported by emergency responders to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad examined the scene and determined that the man had been traveling by motorcycle going east on the Belt Parkway when he hit a guardrail near the Cross Island Parkway exit.
The man’s name was not released pending family notification.
