NYPD: Woman shoved by homeless man down stairs at 71-Continental train station

A 54-year old woman was pushed down a flight of stairs at the 71^st–Continental Ave subway by a homeless man Saturday, police said.

The woman was walking down the staircase leading to the platform at around 8:50 am Christmas Eve. when a homeless man shoved her down the steps leaving her with lacerations to the mouth and lip, and a fractured elbow.

The victim was take to Elmhurst Hospital.

Police arrested Patt Mahony, 40, for assault.
