Cops look to question six people linked two Elmhurst robberies

The police are looking to question six people who were allegedly involved in two robberies in Elmhurst last week.

The first robbery allegedly took place at 6:35 pm on Saturday, January 7, when six suspects entered an electronics store at 40-04 Warren Street. One of the individuals sprayed an employee in the face with an unknown substance, grabbed a cellphone and fled the store. The victim was treated and released from Elmhurst General Hospital.

The second incident took place 15 minutes later at 90-22 Roosevelt Avenue. In that case the six suspects entered the location and removed approximately $3,000 worth of electronics from a display case. When the individuals were confronted by a 53-year-old employee, one of the suspects sprayed him with an unknown substance and all fled westbound on Roosevelt Avenue. The victim was not hospitalized as a result of this incident.

The individuals are described as male blacks who are between 16 and 20 years old.
