He succeeded the first time, so he came back for more.

A thief who robbed a Forest Hills bank last week returned to the same branch on Monday afternoon and stole another bundle of cash, according to police.

The suspect — described as a white male believed to be 35 years old, standing 5 foot 9 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds — wore a red poncho when he swiped $3,000 in cash from the Chase bank located at 100-26 Queens Blvd. at 11:25 a.m. on Feb. 22, authorities said. He obtained the cash after presenting a demand note to the teller.

Police said the crook visited the branch again at 8:35 a.m. on Feb. 27, this time wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, and black dress shoes. After presenting another demand note to a teller, law enforcement sources said, he received another $3,000 in cash, then fled the scene.

Both incidents were reported to the 112th Precinct; there were no injuries.
