Learn the science behind one of the most popular mobile games at the New York Hall of Science this summer.
Starting on Saturday, July 1, the New York Hall of Science will unveil a special exhibit dedicated to the popular game “Angry Birds.” The exhibition, which is called “Angry Birds Universe: The Art and Science of a Global Phenomenon,” will explore explore mass, energy, simple machines, architecture and other science topics through interactive exhibits.
The museum will feature 20 hands-on exhibits where visitors can build and race handheld vehicles, discover bird characteristics such as egg sizes and wingspan lengths, create their own stop motion animations and propel balls adorned with the images of “Angry Birds” characters to test structures with a giant slingshot.
“’Angry Birds’ is a global phenomenon and the science behind it all is almost as compelling as the experience itself,” said Dan Wempa, vice president of external affairs for NYSCI. “We are thrilled to host the U.S. premiere of Angry Birds Universe at NYSCI, where we always find innovative and engaging ways to show people the playful side of science.”
Imagine Exhibitions, Inc., in partnership with Rovio Entertainment Ltd. and Jack Rouse Associates (JRA), developed this unique exhibition.
