A lottery for one- and two-bedroom units in an affordable housing complex in Astoria is now open.
Located at 26-27 2nd St., the five-story building currently has six open apartments for rent. There are four one-bedroom units and two two-bedroom units available. Amenities include a laundry room and parking garage. Most of the units also have private balconies and the building has a rooftop deck.
The building, which is close to the East River, is near the Q18, Q19, Q102 and Q103 bus lines. The closest subway lines are the N and W but are about a 20-minute walk away. The NYC Ferry will launch in August, which will provide residents with another form of transportation.
A one-bedroom apartment costs $889 per month and to be eligible the annual household income should range from $30,480 to $40,080. If two people are interested in the unit, the annual income range is $30,480 to $45,840.
The two-bedroom units cost $1,001 and can accommodate two, three or four residents.
