A 33-year-old Brooklyn man who was found dead on a platform at an Elmhurst subway station on Saturday morning apparently expired from natural causes, sources familiar with the investigation said.

Police said that Javier Morocho of Stillwell Avenue in Coney Island was found unconscious and unresponsive at the Elmhurst Avenue R train station platform, below the intersection of Broadway and Elmhurst Avenue, at 10:34 a.m. on July 15.

There are two platforms at the station, one heading to Manhattan and the other toward Forest Hills; police sources did not specify on which platform Morocho was located.

Officers from the 110th Precinct and NYPD Transit District 20, along with EMS units, rushed to the scene after receiving a 911 call about the incident.

Paramedics examined Morocho and pronounced him dead at the scene. His body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

Law enforcement sources said there were no signs of foul play.
