Man punched and robbed on Astoria street: NYPD

A 29-year-old man was punched in the face and then robbed in Astoria last Thursday night, according to the NYPD.

The victim was outside 34-16 30th Ave, just after 6 p.m. when one man slugged him in the face while another man took his wallet containing $200, bank cards and his ID, police said.

The man who threw the punch is believed to be Omar Eldilemi, 25, who is 5-foot-8 and just over 200pounds, police said. The suspected thief is believed to be Mohammed Eldilemi, 27, who is 5-foot-6 and just over 200 pounds, according to the NYPD.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene and police are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspects. Anyone with information is asked the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
