Police are investigating a hate crime after Parks employees discovered swastikas and anti-gay graffiti sprayed on rocks and trees in Forest Park on Friday.
According to an NYPD spokesman, a Parks Department employee found multiple acts of graffiti at the northwest corner of Park Lane South and 112th Street inside of Forest Park.
The graffiti included a white swastika on a tree, a red swastika on a tree, “Kill GAYPPL” in red paint on a rock, “I Kill GAYPPL” in red paint on a tree, “Fuck Fags” in yellow paint on a tree and “Gays” in yellow paint on a tree.
The incident is being investigated by the Hate Crime Task Force.
