Cheese of the World, long time Austin Street gourmet store, is for sale

Cheese of the World, which has been on Austin Street for more than 60 years, is currently for sale.

The store, which will remain open until a buyer is found, sells more than 250 cheeses as well as cured meats and olives, is listed on the Multiple Listing Service website as currently for sale.

The store owner would not comment as to why he’s selling.
