Police are looking for a group of assailants who delivered a beatdown to a man on a Bayside street on Thursday night.
On Aug. 3 at around 10 p.m., a 20-year-old male was at the southwest corner of 208th Street and 28th Avenue when he was jumped by a group of people, police said. The victim was then stabbed in the back and the suspects fled in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition, according to authorities. Officers from the 111th Precinct recovered a pipe and a handsaw in the vicinity following the incident.
Nothing was reported stolen from the victim in the altercation. There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
The suspects are described as being male. Police were unable to provide an exact number of perpetrators.
