A Flushing-based precinct took to social media last Saturday to announce that there is #onelessgun in the neighborhood.
On July 28 at around 7:46 p.m., officers from the 109th Precinct confiscated a handgun from Flushing resident Dharmendra Chudasama, 38, in the vicinity of Prince Street and 40th Road. He was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
The NYPD did not immediately provide further details about the events leading up to the arrest.
The arrest was made by Sergeant LaQuidara and Officer Cappiello, according to the precinct’s Twitter. Commanding Officer Judith Harrison commended the pair for the arrest.
