Police are looking for a duo who robbed a man of his phone at a Jackson Heights subway station earlier this month.
At 4:54 p.m. on Aug. 12, a Hispanic man and a black woman approached a 51-year-old male into an elevator at the Roosevelt Avenue/74th Street subway station. Once inside the elevator, the suspects demanded money from the victim.
When the victim stated that he had no money, the male suspect pushed him and took the victim’s phone out of his hand. The duo then fled the elevator and the subway station in an unknown direction.
The male suspect is described as being in his 20s, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red and black T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes and carrying a black and tan backpack.
The female suspect is described as being in her 20s, standing 5 feet tall, weighing 150 pounds and having Afro-style hair. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants and black shoes.
