6-story Apartment Building to Replace Century-Old Kew Gardens House

A 6 -story apartment building is likely to replace a Tudor-style house in Kew Gardens.

Permits have been filed for a 23-unit residential building at 83-68 117th Street, where a one-story house that was built in 1899 is located.

The first floor will feature a lobby, a recreational area and a laundry room. Each floor from floors 2 through 4 will contain five residential units, and floors 5 and 6, will have four units per floor.

The building will contain three parking spaces.

The property is located less than two blocks away from Forest Park, and about six blocks from the 121st Street Station with connections to the J and Z lines.

The site is owned by Mauro Tummolo M.B., and the new building has been designed by Mansouri Architect PC.

A demolition permit has not yet been filed.
