BAYSIDE — A 73-year-old man was killed in a motor vehicle accident last Friday at the intersection of Francis Lewis Boulevard and 39th Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers found Flushing resident Raymond Connor inside of a black minivan unconscious and unresponsive. EMS responded and took him to Flushing Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Raymond was traveling southbound on Francis Lewis Boulevard at the intersection of 39th Avenue when he struck a metal support pillar.
The investigation remained ongoing.
