Micro Center Flushing, located at 71-43 Kissena Blvd. between 71st and 72nd Avenues, is inviting students ages 13 and older to enter a fun contest designed to encourage ingenious ways for students to use 3D printing and robotics in the 2018 Micro Center Maker Student Contest, which runs through Sept. 16.
The contest will continue Micro Center’s support for schools’ Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math programs and activities by providing the winning student’s school with a 3D printer and two robotics construction kits.
To enter the contest, students must complete and submit the 2018 Micro Center Maker Student Contest online form, and post a response to the question, “What would you make with a 3D printer or control with a @VexRobotics Motorized Robotics Arm Kit?” on Facebook or Twitter.
The student with the tweet or post judged to be the winner will receive a PowerSpec Ultra 2.0 Dual Extruder 3D Printer valued at $899.99 and a Vex Robotics Motorized Arm Kit valued at $59.99. In addition, Micro Center will give the winning student’s school a PowerSpec Ultra 2.0 3D Printer and two Vex Robotics First Vex IQ Robotics Construction Kits valued at $299.99 each.
