A 31-year-old woman was stabbed in Elmhurst yesterday while exiting a livery vehicle, police said.
The woman was stabbed multiple times in the neck and body as she got out of the vehicle at about 4:50 a.m. in the vicinity of Foley Street and Lamont Avenue, police said. She was transported to Elmhurst Hospital where she is listed in stable condition.
Police have identified the suspect as Juan Portoviejo who is still at large. According to the Daily News, Portoviejo was the victim’s ex boyfriend and they have two children together.
Portoviejo is described as a 33-year-old Hispanic man who is about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 150 pounds.
