Enjoy a night of art, food and fun in Long Island City at the Flux Factory’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

Flux Factory is partnering with Long Island City artists to hold their Annual Art Auction on Dec. 4. From 7 to 10 p.m. that evening, guests will gather at the Plaxall Gallery, located at 5-25 46th Ave., for a silent auction.

Over 70 artists have contributed work that guests can bid on throughout the night. Many of the artists are a part of the Flux Artists-in-Residence as well as members of the community, including Swoon, Duke Riley and Mark Dion.

Throughout the night, guests can enjoy games, music and performances while they mix and mingle with 200 members of Flux Factory’s community of artists and cultural producers. Food will be provided by Kreung Cambodia and the open bar will have a selection of small batch beer from the Arrowood Farms microbrewery.

This year’s guests of honor include Queens Borough President Melinda Katz and NYC REIC (New York City Real Estate Investment Cooperative).

All proceeds from the event will go to support Flux Factory’s cultural and educational programs, which are free to the public and are led by Flux Artists-in-Residence. The auction will also help Flux Factory provide over 75 artists with stipends in 2019 to produce art exhibited at Flux’s free public events.

Tickets are available to purchase online starting at $70. For more information or to purchase tickets for the auction, visit fluxfactory.org/event/2018-auction/.
