An argument boiled over on the E-train in Rego Park this morning resulting in a man slapping a woman in the face and the female victim, in turn, chasing after him with a knife.

The incident took place at the 63rd Drive/Rego Park station, according to Zhanna Aronova, a Forest Hills resident who was on the Manhattan-bound train and captured a video of the incident.

Aronova said the pair, who seemed to be a couple in their late 40s, were in a heated argument before the man struck her in the face. Then all hell broke loose.

“She starting running after him with a knife…running through the train,” Aronova said. He then ran out of the train and left the station.

Aronova said the police caught up with the woman and escorted her away. There was no word on what happened to the man.

She said that the trains were delayed and she arrived an hour late for work.

Police confirmed the incident, although a spokesperson said that there was no indication of the man being stabbed.

However, “an emotionally disturbed woman was taken to an area hospital for evaluation,” the NYPD said.
