Police are searching for a man who followed a woman into her Rego Park apartment building and tried to steal her bag.
The suspect followed the victim, 24, into her building, located in the vicinity of Queens Boulevard and 65th Road, on May 12 around 12:20 a.m., police say.
The suspect unsuccessfully tried to grab the victim’s purse. When he failed, he fled in an unknown direction.
Police say the victim was uninjured.
The suspect is described by police as male, black, and between 20 and 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and red pants.
