Police are looking for a man who smashed an Astoria jewelry shop’s window and made off with around $20,000 worth of jewelry in broad daylight earlier this month.

On Wednesday, Sept. 2, around 11:20 a.m., an unidentified man broke the display window of KA Jewelry, located at 30-04 Broadway, according to the NYPD. The thief then reached into the store and grabbed two trays of jewelry as onlookers passed by, police said.

The man then fled on foot down Broadway carrying the trays, each containing about 25 pieces of jewelry worth $20,000 altogether, cops said.

No injuries were reported as a result of the burglary.
