A Hollis man was arrested at his home Saturday and charged with murder in a gang-related fatal shooting of a South Jamaica resident at the alleged gunman’s apartment building last August, according to the NYPD.

Police from the 103rd Precinct in Jamaica took 22-year-old Nasiem Pearson into custody at his 184th Street apartment building at the scene of the fatal shooting of 28-year-old Broderick Daniels, a resident of the Cedar Manor apartments on 157th Street near Foch Boulevard.

Pearson was charged with murder and criminal possession of a loaded weapon for gunning down Daniels in a vestibule of his apartment building during the early morning hours of Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, according to the NYPD. The motive for the fatal shooting is unclear, although both were reportedly members of rival gangs, police said.

Daniels suffered gunshot wounds to his torso and chest and was rushed by EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to the NYPD.
