The NYPD released surveillance video Friday that shows a suspect who allegedly broke into the headquarters of Urban Upbound near the Queensbridge Houses last month.
The incident occurred on the morning of Friday the 13th, when the man approached the commercial building that houses the nonprofit at 12-15 40th Ave. and hurled a block of concrete through the glass front door, police said.
The suspect then entered the office and remove a Lenovo laptop computer from one of the desks before running off.
The video surveillance released by the NYPD shows the suspect about 20-minutes later entering the subway station located at the corner of 21st Street and 41st Avenue. As he came through the turnstile he appeared to be holding the stolen laptop inside a white plastic bag he was carrying.
The suspect is described as an adult man with a medium complexion with a slim build, a mustache, brown eyes and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, a white surgical mask and black sneakers.
