A gun battle erupted on a Dutch Kills street Monday, Aug. 15, after an unidentified man got into a physical altercation with a group of men just after 6 a.m. in front of 27-29 40th Rd. just after, according to authorities.
Moments later the man returned to the location in front of the Fairfield Inn & Suites New York Queens/Queensboro Bridge and began shooting at the group of men, police said.
The man took off running toward Northern Boulevard and 39th Avenue where the group of men began shooting at him from inside a white Mercedes Benz, according to authorities.
The NYPD on Aug. 17 released video surveillance that shows the gunman shooting back at the vehicle as it turned toward Northern Boulevard.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the gunfire, police said.
The lone gunman has a medium skin complexion and is between 25 and 30 years of age with black hair and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black pants and black and green sneakers.
