Police are searching for the duo who flashed a gun and snatched more than $5,000 worth of jewelry from a 51-year-old woman during an armed robbery in Queensboro Hill on Aug. 16.
Authorities say that just after 9 p.m. on Aug. 16, the victim had arranged to meet the two suspects to sell jewelry on Pople Avenue, within the confines of the 109th Precinct in Flushing. The meet turned violent when one of the suspects flashed a firearm and forcibly removed jewelry valued at over $5,000 dollars before fleeing westbound on Pople Avenue on foot.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Police on Wednesday night, Aug. 17, released surveillance photos of the suspects.
