Police searching for trio behind theft of $8,000 worth of construction tools in Astoria

The NYPD is asking the public to assist them in their search for three males connected with a burglary on Friday, Aug. 12, when two individuals forcibly entered 25-15 36th St. in Astoria, stealing construction tools totaling an approximate $8,000.

After the two men stole the equipment at approximately 5 p.m. on Aug. 12, the third unidentified individual stayed in the vehicle, before they all fled in a gray trailblazer heading eastbound on Astoria Boulevard, police said.

The first individual is described as a Black male who was last seen wearing dark-colored clothing and a yellow construction hat, according to authorities. Police say the second suspect is also Black and was last seen wearing dark-colored clothing, an orange construction hat and an orange vest. The third suspect was Black and was last seen wearing dark-colored clothing, according to the NYPD.
