Community Board 5 will host its monthly meeting next week, Wednesday, Oct. 12, to discuss applications for changes to gas stations on Borden Avenue and Flushing Avenue in Maspeth.
At 66-15 Borden Ave., the gas station is applying to rearrange and add one new dispenser; enlarge the canopy; and remove three 4,000-gallon underground fuel tanks and replace them with two new 12,000-gallon underground fuel tanks.
The gas station at 60-93 Flushing Ave. is looking to replace two dispensers with four new ones; replace two 4,000-gallon gas tanks with two new 12,000-gallon tanks; install a new canopy; replace one curb cut with two new curb cuts; and create a new parking layout and landscaping.
The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. in Christ the King High School Cafeteria, located at 68-02 Metropolitan Ave. in Middle Village, Queens. Speakers can register by calling the board office at 718-366-1834 or by emailing the board at qn05@cb.nyc.gov.
