Primark, an international clothing retailer that offers quality fashion at great value prices, hosted a private shopping experience on Monday, Nov. 28, for local public school students from PS 312 and PS 40 on Jamaica Avenue ahead of its 15th store opening in the United States.
The new store, located at 162-10 Jamaica Ave., will open its doors to the public on Thursday, Dec. 1 and features a selection of womenswear, menswear, kidswear, health and beauty products, activewear and homeware.
Primark’s three new store locations in the New York Metro region — which includes Jamaica in Queens, Roosevelt Field in Garden City, and City Point Brooklyn — kicks off the company’s U.S. growth plan to reach 60 stores by 2026. The Jamaica store brings Primark’s presence in the NYC region to five total stores and it has signed a new lease to open a store at Queens Center in Elmhurst.
Kevin Tulip, president of Primark US, said he’s excited for the future for Primark in New York, as the company’s current stores have shown the important role it can play in the region as an affordable and inclusive retailer, bringing back the allure of brick-and-mortar,
