Queens Chamber of Commerce announces best pizza competition

The Queens Chamber of Commerce announced a borough-wide pizza competition, settling once and for all who makes the best slice in Queens. Members of the public are encouraged to nominate and vote for their favorite pizzeria in Queens.

On National Pizza Pie Day on Thursday, Feb. 9, a winner will be announced. The Queens Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations at tinyurl.com/queensbestpizza. Nominations close Friday, Jan. 13. Voting will run from Monday, Jan. 23, to Friday, Feb. 3.

The winning pizzeria will also receive a complimentary membership to the Queens Chamber of Commerce.

“Small businesses, particularly restaurants, are the lifeblood of Queens’ diverse neighborhoods, creating jobs and opportunity, and adding to the unique character of our neighborhoods,” said Tom Grech, president and CEO of the Queens Chamber of Commerce. “Queens, unquestionably has the best pizza around, and in every neighborhood in our borough you can easily find a great slice or pie. The chamber is excited to crown the inaugural winner of the Queens’ Best Pizza Competition on Feb. 9 – National Pizza Pie Day.  I am looking forward to visiting the winning pizzeria, and sampling their delicious offerings. Regardless of who wins, we encourage everyone to hop on the bus, subway or train and visit their favorite Queens pizza place.”

The Queens Chamber of Commerce represents over 1,400 businesses and more than 150,000 Queens-based employees, making it the largest and oldest business association in Queens.
