Police from the 104th Precinct are searching for the thief who broke into an 82-year-old woman’s car in Ridgewood last week.

Police say the unidentified male suspect broke into the driver-side window of a black 2018 Hyundai parked in the vicinity of Bleecker Street and Woodward Avenue in Ridgewood, on Tuesday, Sept. 12.

The car belonged to an 82-year-old woman who had left her car parked outside since Thursday, Sept. 7, police said. The suspect allegedly tampered with the steering column of the car and fled in an unknown direction in a Kia.

The wanted man was last seen wearing a black hoodie, track pants and black sneakers, according to authorities.
