Episcopal Health Services (EHS) is set to mark a significant milestone in healthcare provision for Far Rockaway and surrounding communities.
On Thursday, Jan. 25, EHS, in collaboration with South Island Orthopedics, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 am to celebrate the opening of South Island Orthopedics’ new offices on the St. John’s Episcopal Hospital campus located at 347 Beach 19th St. in Far Rockaway.
This event symbolizes the beginning of a promising partnership between EHS and South Island Orthopedics. It also coincides with the appointment of Dr. Paul J. Kubiak as the new Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at EHS. The ceremony will be attended by key figures from both organizations, including South Island Orthopedics’ Managing Partner Dr. Eric Freeman, EHS CEO Gerard Walsh and other executive leaders and team members.
Expected to attend are local elected officials, Senator James Sanders Jr., Assemblyman Khaleel Anderson, and Councilwoman Selvena Brooks-Powers, along with Queens Chamber of Commerce VP of Business Development Brandon Leavy.
The new South Island Orthopedics facility represents a significant expansion of orthopedic services in the region. This partnership aims to provide enhanced healthcare options to the Far Rockaway, Five Towns and adjacent communities, addressing a growing need for specialized orthopedic care.
