The 2024 ‘Bell Blvd Food and Music Fest’ will take over eight blocks in Bayside this Sunday, June 2, with dozens of bites to try and several live music performances to enjoy.

The biggest draw of the event is the popular “Restaurant Stroll,” which allows attendees to sample a range of culinary delights from 35 participating local restaurants for just $1 a taste. General admission tickets to participate are $40, and $20 for children 12 and under.

But the rest of the festival experience, which includes live music on each block, games, performances, sports, face painting and bounce houses, is free for all.

Last year, the festival drew big crowds and offered over a dozen different kinds of cuisine, from Mediterranean to Korean BBQ, among unique desserts and farm-to-table options. Community centers also provided various demonstrations and experiences for those in attendance.

The event is organized by the Bayside Village Business Improvement District (BID), which provides the area with supplemental sanitation services and is responsible for beautification projects and supplemental lighting.

The event first started in 2018 but returned just last year following a two-year pandemic hiatus. Members of the BID came up with the idea for the food aspect after they realized that there were many restaurants that local residents were curious about but had not tried yet.

The fest will be located along Bell Boulevard, from 38th Avenue to 43rd Avenue, and along 41st Avenue, from 213th Street to 214th Place. It is rain or shine and will run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
