A lucky lottery player in Flushing, has won a top prize of $36,274 in the TAKE 5 evening drawing, the New York Lottery announced today.
The winning ticket for the May 9 draw was purchased at 79-07 Express News Inc., located at 79-07 Main Street in Flushing.
The same store sold a $2 million Powerball winning ticket in 2020.
TAKE 5 numbers are selected from a field of 1 to 39, with drawings held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Winners have up to one year from the date of the draw to claim their prizes.
The New York Lottery is the largest and most profitable lottery in North America, contributing $3.7 billion in the 2022-2023 fiscal year to support education in New York State.
