The Shops at Atlas Park, located in Glendale, is hosting a Swiftie Dance Party on Tuesday, Aug. 27, with Taylor Swift-inspired trivia, giveaways and more.
Macerich, the real estate investment trust company that owns the urban shopping mall, located at 8000 Cooper Ave., has scheduled the all-Swiftie event to last from 6-8 p.m., with Selectah Spadez being the DJ for the event and Daniel Garcia hosting it.
Highlights of the evening dance party will include Taylor Swift-inspired trivia, a “Taylor Says” challenge similar to “Simon Says,” giveaways of Taylor-inspired tattoos, friendship bracelets and sunglasses.
The Shops at Atlas Park-favorite Bee’s Arts and Crafts are also offering free face painting for guests.
Furthermore, additional backpacks filled with back-to-school items will also be available at the event, while supplies last.
This first-of-its-kind event for The Shops at Atlas Park is part of a larger focus this year for the community shopping space to provide even more events to the public.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to creating unforgettable experiences for our local community, we’re thrilled to host a Taylor-themed night at The Shops at Atlas Park,” said Peter DeLucia, general manager of The Shops at Atlas Park. “Each summer, we host a variety of events, including concerts, movies and wellness activities on our Center Green with the goal of providing our neighborhood with free, family-friendly entertainment. This special event is a tribute to the beloved artist who can be celebrated by all ages.”
In addition to this Swiftie-themed dance night, neighbors can also look forward to other upcoming programming at The Shops at Atlas Park, including a screening of the 2023 live action “The Little Mermaid” on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. and a three-day water park pop-up with Slide City from Friday, Aug. 23, through Sunday, Aug. 25 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
