An international airline has announced that JFK Terminal 6 will be its future home at the massive New York International Airport.
Norse Atlantic Airways and JFK Millenium Partners (JMP), the design and development company overseeing the construction of T6, announced the news on Thursday, Dec 19.
In 2026, Norse Atlantic passengers will experience T6’s unique guest experience, including over 100,000 square feet of NYC-inspired dining, shopping, lounges, amenities, and public art. Additionally, on average, travelers will experience a less than 5-minute walk from TSA checkpoints to all gates in the terminal.
Since 2023, Norse Atlantic has provided nonstop flights from JFK Terminal 7 to Athens, Berlin, London, Gatwick, Oslo, Paris, and Rome. It uses a state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft with economy class and premium cabins. Founded by Bjørn Tore Larsen in 2021, Norse Atlantic started operating in T7 with one daily flight to London Gatwick and has grown to include up to six daily flights to European destinations during this summer’s peak travel season.
Steve Thody, CEO of JMP, said that JMP has built a strong partnership with Norse Atlantic since they started operating out of T7. Thody added that JMP is excited to have Norse Atlantic join T6, “where Norse Atlantic passengers can expect nothing less than a five-star experience,”
The T6 project is a main component of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s $19 billion investment in transforming JFK Airport. The investment includes the creation of 2 new terminals, 2 expanded and modernized terminals, a new ground transportation center, and a new simplified roadway network.
