The Rockaway Theatre Company’s Teen Workshop premiered Shrek The Musical Jr. over the weekend, captivating audiences with a fun, family-friendly production.
The adaptation of the beloved DreamWorks Animation film and Broadway musical tells the story of Shrek, an unlikely hero on a quest to rescue Princess Fiona, accompanied by a cast of whimsical fairy tale characters.
The remaining performances of Shrek The Musical Jr. will take place on Friday, Jan. 17, at 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. Tickets, priced at $10 for general admission, are available online. The show has an approximate running time of one hour and includes a brief intermission.
The Rockaway Theatre Company’s Teen Workshop will follow up Shrek The Musical Jr. with another exciting production of Disney Pixar’s Finding Nemo Jr. The heartwarming undersea adventure will take the stage on Feb. 7, 8, 14, and 15 at 7 p.m., with matinee performances on Feb. 9 and 16 at 2 p.m. This adaptation of the beloved animated film promises to bring the colorful world of Nemo, Marlin, and Dory to life with vibrant costumes, memorable songs, and an unforgettable message about family and friendship.
