Homicide detectives at the 113th Precinct in Jamaica are still working to determine the motive behind the fatal shooting of a St. Albans man who was gunned down on a residential street just blocks from his home.
Sherman Walker, 51, of Francis Lewis Boulevard was shot multiple times at the intersection of 204th Street and Murdock Avenue at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18.
Police from the 113th Precinct responded to a 911 call of a man shot at the locations where they found Walker with gunshot wounds to the neck, abdomen, and left leg. EMS rushed Walker to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short while later.
There are no arrests in the case, an NYPD spokesman said Thursday afternoon, adding that the homicide is still actively being investigated. He could not provide a description of the suspect in the fatal shooting.

It was the 113th Precinct’s first homicide of 2025; the command had seven murders in 2024, according to CompStat.
