St. John’s Medical Group, part of Episcopal Health Services in Far Rockaway, has announced the addition of two surgeons to its team, bolstering its commitment to high-quality patient care.
The appointment of Dr. Patrick DePippo and Dr. Michael Stein, was announced on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
Dr. DePippo, recently named a 2024 Best Vascular Surgeon by Newsweek, has been appointed Chief of Vascular Surgery for EHS. He brings over 30 years of experience in treating conditions such as peripheral vascular disease, carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms, and arterial insufficiency. His patient-centered approach and extensive research, published in top medical journals, have earned him widespread respect in his field.
Dr. Stein, a double-board certified plastic surgeon, specializes in breast reconstruction, skin cancer reconstruction, nerve reconstruction, and hand surgeries, including carpal tunnel and trigger finger procedures. With more than 60 published works and numerous research awards, he is recognized for advancing patient safety and healthcare quality.

Dr. DePippo completed his medical degree at Albany Medical College, followed by a residency in general surgery at New York Medical College and a fellowship in vascular surgery at Maimonides Medical Center.
Dr. Stein earned his medical degree from the University of British Columbia and a Master’s in Applied Sciences from Johns Hopkins University. He completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Ottawa and a fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery and aesthetic breast surgery at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital/Lenox Hill Hospital.
