A man was struck and killed by an E train as it approached the Forest Hills-71st Avenue subway station on Sunday afternoon.
Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills and Transit District 20 responded to a 911 call of an injured man at the location just before 2:30 p.m. and found the victim on the tracks, an NYPD spokesperson said Monday.
EMS responded to the location and pronounced the man dead at the scene. The victim was reportedly riding the northbound E train between cars when he slipped and fell to the track bed, where he was stuck by the subway. The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification. No criminality is suspected and the investigation remains ongoing.
