As JFK Terminal 6 prepares for its anticipated opening in 2026, JFK Millennium Partners (JMP), the design and construction company behind the terminal, has announced the release of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Guest Services, Security, and Maintenance/Janitorial services.
JMP hosted a dedicated RFP informational event for Queens residents on Jan. 13 at Queens Borough Hall, drawing over 100 participants. A second outreach event aimed at connecting prime bidders with smaller subcontractors will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 19. JMP plans to select its first operational partners by April 2025.
The Guest Services RFP requires partners to provide staffing and training for guest experience positions, assist with guest access to terminal amenities, act as subject matter experts for T6 and JFK airport, and facilitate “Surprise and Delight” events for guests on an ongoing basis.
For the Security Services RFP, JMP is seeking a partner capable of handling traffic management, employee screening, visitor and vendor processing, terminal access, and alarm response.
In the Maintenance and Janitorial RFP, JMP is looking for a partner responsible for the daily upkeep and management of T6’s facilities, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and baggage handling systems, as well as waste management, pest control, landscaping, and cleaning both inside and outside the terminal.
Karen Ali, JMP’s Chief Operating Officer, expressed excitement about partnering with firms that share its vision for creating exceptional travel experiences for T6 guests.
JMP is also committed to maximizing the involvement of Minority & Women Business Enterprises (MWBE), Local Business Enterprises (LBE), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB) in its operational RFPs. All participants are required to submit diversity participation plans outlining their strategies to meet JMP’s diversity goals.
