Senator Joseph Addabbo is once again showing his commitment to the senior community by organizing his annual Senior Job Fair in Kew Gardens, an event aimed at helping older adults find employment opportunities and achieve greater financial stability.
The event will take place on Friday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Kew Gardens Community Center, located at 80-02 Kew Gardens Road. Attendees are advised to use the entrance on 80th Road.
This job fair is open to all job seekers aged 55 and older, offering a welcoming environment for experienced individuals looking to re-enter the workforce or transition to new roles.
Whether seniors are searching for full-time, part-time, or volunteer opportunities, the event is structured to help them connect directly with employers who appreciate the unique value that older adults bring to the workplace.
“Everyone deserves the chance to contribute their skills and experience in a workplace that appreciates their value,” said Addabbo. “This fair is an excellent opportunity for seniors to connect with employers who recognize their talents and dedication.”
The event is free for both participants and vendors, making it accessible for job seekers and appealing to a wide range of employers. Seniors planning to attend are encouraged to wear professional attire and bring multiple copies of their résumés to hand out to employers at the fair.

A diverse group of organizations have already committed to participating as vendors, including Passion for Seniors of NY, Job Path, Port Authority of NY & NJ, GoodTemps, AFC Industries, CAMBA Inc., MTA, St. Mary’s Hospital for Children (Volunteer), Primerica Inc., and the Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center.
These organizations span multiple industries, including healthcare, transportation, public service, finance, and non-profit sectors, providing a wide range of potential job opportunities for seniors.
Senator Addabbo’s office is actively seeking additional vendors to join the fair. Businesses and organizations that are interested in supporting older adults in their employment journeys are encouraged to sign up.
Those who wish to participate should contact Sean McCabe, Senator Addabbo’s Deputy Chief of Staff, by phone at 718-497-1630 or via email at smccabe@nysenate.gov.
