Police from the 107th Precinct in Fresh Meadows are looking for a woman who allegedly robbed a Jamaica Hills bank on the morning of Thursday, May 29.

The suspect entered the Webster Bank branch at 179-25 Hillside Ave. at 10:15 a.m. and passed a note to a teller demanding money, police said Thursday. The bank employee complied, handing over $1,250 in cash.

The perpetrator fled the bank on foot, traveling eastbound on Hillside Avenue toward the 179th Street F train station. There were no injuries reported as a result of the bank heist, police said.

The NYPD released a surveillance image of the suspect and described her as having a dark complexion, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, and 180 pounds. She wore a red jacket over a black hooded sweatshirt, ripped blue jeans, sunglasses, and light brown headphones.

Through May 25, the 107th Precinct has reported 41 robberies so far in 2025, ten fewer than the 51 reported at the same point last year, a decline of 19.6%, according to the most recent CompStat report.
