A woman fought off an attempted robber after he followed her inside her Flushing building and tried to steal her bag, cops said.
The 29-year-old victim was followed into the building just before 5 a.m. on Wednesday and once she was on the second floor, the suspect grabbed her purse, authorities said. While the woman fought with the suspect, he pushed her into wall, but was unable to take her bag. They continued to struggle until the suspect fled empty-handed.
The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds.
